WIPO encourages Madrid System users to provide their e-mail addresses

Interesting

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) strongly encourages users of the Madrid System for the International Registration of Trademarks who have not provided the Madrid Registry (in international applications or subsequent communications) with their e-mail address to do so as soon in the shortest time.

This recommendation was issued due to the complex global epidemiological situation, possible interruptions in the work of the postal service, and unpredictability of further situation development. WIPO believes that the use of e-mails under the Madrid System makes communication (requests, decisions of offices, etc.) faster and more efficient.

Users of the Madrid System can provide their email address via Contact Madrid on the WIPO website.
