On October 20, 2022 the National Center of Intellectual Property in cooperation with the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus will hold the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference "Intellectual Property in the Modern World: Time Challenges and Development Prospects".

The Eurasian Patent Office informs that from July 1, 2022, new rates of fees for legally significant and other actions in relation to the Eurasian applications and patents for inventions will enter into force.


In accordance with the decision of the 62nd World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Assemblies, as of July 1, 2022, all amino acid and nucleotide sequence listings appearing in patent applications filed at the national, regional or international level must comply with WIPO Standard ST.26.


From July 1, 2022, EAPO starts to provide services as an International Searching Authority (ISA) and International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA) under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). The decision to designate the EAPO as an ISA and IPEA was adopted at the 53rd Session of the PCT Union Assembly held in October 2021.

On May 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., the World Intellectual Property Organization will organize a webinar "The PCT System. Amendment of Claims." The webinar will cover the possibilities of claim amendments under Articles 19 or 34 of the PCT, with no discussion of correcting obvious errors. The webinar will explain in details to which international bodies and within what time frames such amendments and accompanying documents can be filed.
