On World Book and Copyright Day and on the eve of the International Intellectual Property Day, the National Library of Belarus hosted an educational seminar «Copyright in the conditions of digital transformation».

From the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) the event was attended by First Deputy Director General Aliaksei Kurman, representatives of the Copyright and Related Rights Department Andrey Luchenok and Daria Kostyuchenko, Legal and Human Resources Department Victoria Shadrina and Julia Dashkovskaya, Pre-trial Settlement Division Vladimir Koshkin.

Within the framework of the seminar speakers made presentations on the topics of collective management of property rights of authors and other right holders, liability for copyright infringement, peculiarities of copyright in the work of digital libraries in modern conditions, also highlighted the problems of complex copyright objects.

The event was also attended by the staff of the Belarusian State University, touching upon topical issues of presumption in copyright law and problems of protection of copyright objects created by artificial intelligence.

NCIP presented the National Library of Belarus a collection of songs of Belarusian authors in Chinese, first published in the People's Republic of China with the assistance of NCIP.
