Virtual Book Exhibition “Intellectual Property: Legal Protection and Management”

Since April 22, 2020 a virtual book exhibition dedicated to the World Intellectual Property Day is open with the support of the Virtual Center of International Organisations. The exhibition “Intellectual Property (IP): Legal Protection and Management” can be visited on the portal of the National Library of Belarus.

This virtual exhibition will familiarise the library readers with the organisations’ key functions and its documents among which there are IP legal framework materials (conventions, agreements, and treaties), copyright, patent and trademark literature, annual reports and short reviews of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

There are 54 exhibits from the Library’s archives both in Russian and English: books, brochures and flyers. Each document is accompanied with the bibliographical description, annotation and pdf-file with content.

The exhibits cover the following thematic sections:

• Intellectual property: its role and position in contemporary society development;
• International legal protection of intellectual property;
• WIPO activities;
• Industrial property, patent law, trademarks;
• Copyright and related rights;
• Intellectual property and development of innovations. Innovations for a Green Future.

This exhibition might be of a particular interest to graduate and master students, fellows of law and economy faculties, heads of entreprises, researches of scientific institutions, lawyers and all those interested in aspects of intellectual property.
