Today, on June 26, the awarding ceremony dedicated to the Inventors’ and Rationalizers’ Day was held at the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP).

The awarding ceremony was led by the Director General of the National Center of Intellectual Property Mr. Uladzimir Rabavolau on behalf of the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus.

He opened the event by noting that the history of the holiday began in 1957 in the USSR. Later on in 1979 this holiday received official status and the last Saturday of June was celebrated as "The All-Union Day of Inventors and Rationalizers". To this day, it is celebrated both in the Republic of Belarus and in the Russian Federation.

The Director General of NCIP read out congratulations from the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Yuri Nazarov and the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Alexander Shumilin.

The distinguished scientists were awarded with the Diplomas of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the Diplomas of the National Center of Intellectual Property.

On the occasion of the Inventors’ and Rationalizers’ Day, the Diplomas of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus were awarded to:

Mr. Vladimir Bakhur, Deputy Head of the Department No. 1 of Special Equipment and Radio Electronics of the OJSC “MNIPI”, for the development of new types of radio electronic products for the military, special and dual-use;

Mr. Alexander Vilchikov, Head of the Department of Optical-Mechanical Development, OJSC “Design Bureau “Display”, for the development of the automated, remotely controlled observation and fire complex;

Ms. Marina Levko, Head of the Design and Technological Bureau for mechanical processing of the chief technologist of the OJSC Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, for long-standing work and significant personal contribution to the development of the Belarusian automotive industry;

Ms. Natalya Kundeleva, Leading Design Engineer of the “Peleng-Optik” Design and Production Department, OJSC “Peleng”, for high scientific and technical level of development in the field of optical instrumentation in the Republic of Belarus;

Ms. Olga Sidyako, Head of the Design Department of Mechanics No. 2 of the OJSC “VOLAVTO”, for developing new types of equipment and technologies aimed at solving practical problems of ensuring the security and defense capacity of the Republic of Belarus;

Mr. Yaroslav Solovyov, Deputy Director of the “Transistor” branch for technical issues of the OJSC “INTEGRAL” – INTEGRAL Holding Management Company, for the development of a number of original technological processes of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits introduced into mass production, personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists in areas of electronic technology;
Mr. Sergey Shpakovsky, Managing Director of the INTEGRAL holding, Head of the “T” branch of the Belmicrosystems scientific and technical center of the OJSC “INTEGRAL”, for the development of discrete semiconductor devices for various functional purposes and bipolar integrated circuits introduced into mass production, personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists;

Mr. Vadim Savich, First Deputy Director – Deputy Director for Science of the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Powder Metallurgy named after the academician O.V. Roman”, for ensuring the creation and development of innovative and high-tech industries during the implementation of state technical programs, personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists in areas of heat engineering and powder metallurgy;

Mr. Victor Mazyuk, Head of the Research Laboratory of Capillary-Porous Materials of the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Powder Metallurgy named after the academician O.V. Roman”, for the development of new types of equipment and technologies, accumulation of new knowledge through basic research, and personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of heat engineering and powder metallurgy;

Mr. Dmitry Karpovich, Head of the Department of Automation of Production Processes and Electronics of the Educational Institution “Belarusian State Technological University”, for his long-standing engagement in scientific-pedagogical and educational-methodological activity, personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists for the industry of the Republic of Belarus in the field of automation of technological processes and robotics.

On the occasion of the Inventors’ and Rationalizers’ Day for prolific work in the intellectual property field the Diplomas of the National Center of Intellectual Property were awarded to:

Mr. Viktor Prushak, Director of the CJSC “Soligorsk Institute for Resource Saving Problems with Pilot Production”;

Mr. Sergey Zhdanok, Chief Researcher of LLC “Advanced Research and Technology”;

Mr. Sergey Pletnev, Director and Leading Engineer of MAGNOMED Company;

Mr. Oleg Golovach, Director of LLC “Techsintek”;

Ms. Valentina Krutko, Head of the Laboratory of Photochemistry and Electrochemistry of the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus;


Mr. Alexander Muravsky, Head of the Laboratory “Materials and Technologies of LCD Devices” of the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The Day of Inventors and Rationalizers is a professional holiday, which is celebrated in the Republic of Belarus annually, on the last Saturday of June.
