International Seminar “Copyright and Collective Management of Rights in Belarus and in Germany”

In the framework of the Seminar such topics as specific features of the legislation on copyright in Belarus and in Germany, judicial protection of copyright, collective management of rights of authors and specificity of collecting royalties were covered.

Aleksei Bichurin, Head of the Center for Collective Management of NCIP; Oliver Schön, Judge of the Regional Court of Munich and Researcher at the Federal Court of Justice of the Federal Republic of Germany; Victor Kovshun, Judge of the Judicial Board for Intellectual Property Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus; Oliver Drews, Governmental Counselor at the German Patent and Trademark Office; Sergei Kukhto, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Society of Authors, Performers and Other Right Holders, were speakers of the event. Their presentations were supported by lively discussions.
