First Eurasian patent for industrial design published

On October 25, 2021, the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) published a Eurasian patent for an industrial design numbered 000001 for the Russian Federation representative – State Space Corporation ROSKOSMOS.

The President of the Eurasian Office S.Tlevlessova and heads of structural divisions took part in the launch of the system for publishing Eurasian patents for industrial designs.

Information on Eurasian patents for industrial designs will be published by means of continuous publication technology in the EAPO Bulletin “Industrial Designs (Eurasian Applications and Eurasian Patents)” and posted on the EAPO website. The published information will include bibliographic data, title, priority date and images of industrial designs.

At the moment the Republic of Belarus is carrying out the necessary national procedures for joining the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention of September 9, 1994. The corresponding draft Law has already been submitted to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Now it is going to be finalized.
