Arrangement of an Agreement with Georgia

The cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of Georgia (hereinafter - Parties) in the sphere of intellectual property will be directed at resolving issues related to the protection and use of intellectual property rights; harmonization of national legislations of the Parties to international treaties in the sphere of intellectual property protection the parties of which are or will be the States Parties; the exchange of information, nominative and other documents, as well as experience and experts in the sphere of intellectual property protection; organization of exhibitions, including topics related to intellectual property, as well as seminars and conferences on issues of intellectual property protection; the information exchange on participation in international treaties in the sphere of intellectual property protection; training and professional development of personnel in the sphere of intellectual property protection, the exchange of experience in this work; assistance on signing of agreements between state authorities and organizations of the State Parties on cooperation in the sphere of intellectual property, other forms of cooperation, agreed by the Parties.

The Arrangement of the Agreement would enhance the protection efficiency in Georgia of intellectual property rights owned by citizens/individuals and legal entities of the Republic of Belarus, and establish the necessary conditions for mutual trade and economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation between the two States.
