On October 15-16, 2020, a video conference on collective management issues was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Republic of Belarus was represented by the experts of the National Center of Intellectual Property – Deputy Director General Anzhela Plionkina, Head of Copyright and Related Rights Department Aliaksandr Dzianisman, Head of International Cooperation Division Arthur Akhramenka.

The conference topics covered a wide range of issues. In particular, various aspects of collective management, international organizations experience, efficiency and transparency in the collective management of copyright and related rights, aspects of tariff setting, distribution of remuneration and existing difficulties in this area were considered. The videoconference participants also took part in a round table, where they exchanged their experiences and discussed the prospects for the collective management development.

The conference speakers are the leaders and experienced experts working for government bodies, other specialized national and international organizations, non-profit public associations.

Following the event, WIPO will prepare relevant information and methodological materials for further use in the work on the topic considered.
