Thematic exhibition «Patenting originality in design» held in Minsk

The thematic exhibition «Patenting originality in design» takes place in the reading-room of the patent documents of the Republican Scientific-Technical Library (7, Pobediteley Ave., Minsk) from February 1 to February 28, 2023.

The exhibition features the latest publications on the legal protection of three-dimensional models (3D-modeling), graphic design, virtual clothing and other objects of design, including the correlation of patent law and copyright regulations in respect of legal protection of design solutions; on the criteria for patentability of industrial designs, the mechanisms for its protection; on the features of patenting industrial designs in different countries, etc.

The weekly updated international database of industrial designs Orbit Intelligence of the Questel Company is available in the reading room of the Patent Documents Department to assist designers, technologists, design engineers and a wide range of interested persons.

The Designs search module in Orbit Intelligence allows searching by design name/keyword, ICPO, national design classification, owner name, registration number in an array of over 17 million product designs from all industries. Information is provided by national and international patent offices.
