In the run-up to the World Intellectual Property Day, the best employees of the Belarusian Patent Office were awarded with the badge of distinction "Honourable badge" – the highest award of the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP).

Thus, for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism and significant personal contribution to the development of the national intellectual property system, the Deputy Director General of the State Institution “National Center of Intellectual Property” Mrs. Anzhela Plionkina was awarded the badge of distinction.



Having started work in NCIP since 1998 as the Leading Specialist of the Legal Support Department, she made a great contribution to the creation and development of the state system of protection and enforcement of intellectual property in the Republic of Belarus. Mrs. Plionkina is a highly qualified leader, who’s constantly applying new knowledge and modern approaches in her work.

This significant award was also presented to the Leading Specialist of the Preliminary Examination Division of the Trademarks Department (NCIP) Mrs. Ulyana Bobkova for her significant personal contribution to the development of the system of intellectual property rights protection, high professionalism, many years of conscientious and dedicated work for the benefit of the patent system of the Republic of Belarus.


Mrs. Bobkova began her career in the Patent Office in 1995 as a Leading Specialist of the Trademarks and Industrial Designs Examination Division; from 1997 to 2010 she served as Deputy Head of the Trademarks Examination Department, from 2011 to 2012 – Head of the Preliminary Examination Department. She currently holds the position of the Leading Specialist of the Preliminary Examination Division of the Trademarks Department. Mrs. Bobkova has a 25-year work experience in the patent office.

In 2002 and 2012 she was awarded a commendation of the Director General of NCIP for conscientious fulfillment of labor duties, high performance in work, responsibility, and initiative, and in 2019 – that of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, Mr. Valery Kudashov, professor of the Department of Production Management and Real Estate Economics of the Economics Faculty of the Belarusian State Technological University, was awarded the badge of distinction, for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism and significant personal contribution to the development of the national intellectual property system.


The career of Mr. Kudashov is most closely associated with the establishment of the intellectual property system in our country. As the first Head of the State Patent Office of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter – Belgospatent), he made a significant contribution to the creation and development of the intellectual property system in the Republic of Belarus. After ending  his career as Chairman of the Belgospatent, Mr. Kudashov he has been teaching the subject "Intellectual Property" in the country's universities for 16 years already, thereby promoting this area among young people.

The badge of distinction of NCIP "Honourable badge" is a form of reward presented to a person for many years of fruitful, conscientious work in the National Center of Intellectual Property. The badge of distinction is awarded to the employees of NCIP, as well as other people who have made a significant personal contribution to the development of the intellectual property system, the system of intellectual property protection and enforcement, the system of collective management of economic rights, intellectual property legislation, creation of industrial property objects, popularization of intellectual property, including those that have achieved high rates in intellectual activity and those that have worked in the intellectual property field, as a rule, not less than 5 years. Other people may also be awarded the badge for special merits and effective assistance in the implementation of the state policy in the intellectual property field.
