Petrochemical enterprises actively involved in the creation of IP objects and their commercialization

Extract from the interview with Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, in the “Belneftekhim Vestnik”.

- How do you assess the contribution of petrochemical enterprises to the total share of industrial property rights registered in the country?

- Enterprises of the petrochemical industry have been involved in the creation of intellectual property objects and their commercialization for many years. Last year alone, more than a dozen patents for inventions, utility models, industrial designs and other industrial property objects were registered by the leading enterprises of this sector.

One of the most active companies in the industry for the specified period is the Bobruisk OJSC “Belshina”, which was granted 4 patents for industrial designs, 3 – for utility models, and 2 – for inventions.
