For a significant personal contribution to the creation of industrial property objects in the field of energy networks and systems, effective assistance in the implementation of state policy in the intellectual property sphere, the badge of distinction of the National Center of Intellectual Property was awarded to the Editor-in-Chief of the “Science and Technology” and “Energy. News of higher educational institutions and energy associations of the CIS” journals of the BNTU branch “Scientific Research Polytechnic Institute”, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Fedor Romanyuk.

F.Romanyuk is a renowned scientist in the field of electric power. His scientific works are devoted to the development of the foundations of building microprocessor protection systems and automation of electrical installations, as well as their mathematical modelling for computational experiment research. He created new highly effective methods for determining information parameters of input signals in microprocessor protections and automation systems, and developed automation devices that served as the basis for organizing their production in the country.

F.Romanyuk is the author of over 230 scientific and methodological works, including 5 monographs, 1 study guide, 30 copyright certificates and patents in the field of energy networks and systems.

During his work as vice-rector for scientific and productive activities, an intellectual property management system was established, and this, in turn, resulted in awarding the Belarusian National Technical University with the prize of the World Intellectual Property Organization.

The badge of distinction of the state institution "National Center of Intellectual Property" "Honourable badge" is a form of encouragement for many years of fruitful, conscientious work in the National Center of Intellectual Property. The badge is awarded to employees of the National Center, as well as other persons who have made a significant personal contribution to the development of the intellectual property system, the system of protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, collective management system, legislation in the intellectual property field, creation of industrial property objects, promotion of intellectual property, including those who have achieved high intellectual activity results and who have worked in the intellectual property field, as a rule, for at least 5 years. The badge can also be awarded to other persons for special merits and effective assistance in the implementation of state policy in the intellectual property sphere.
