The Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) has been established on the territory of the China-Belarus Industrial Park “Great Stone”. The agreement on its creation was signed on November 11, 2020 by the Director General of NCIP Uladzimir Rabavolau and the Head of the Park Administration Alexander Yaroshenko.

Uladzimir Rabavolau stated that active work is underway to create a whole network of TISCs in Belarus. Moreover, the Director General of NCIP noted that a draft State Program for Innovative Development for the next five-year period is currently being developed, and for the first time this document will provide for a separate section dedicated to the intellectual property system enhancement, as one of the key mechanisms of innovative development of the Republic of Belarus. And therefore, it is no coincidence that the Industrial Park “Great Stone”, being one of the leading centers of innovative development in the country, was chosen as the site for the TISC creation.

In turn, the Head of the Park Administration Alexander Yaroshenko focused on the fact that functioning of the established TISC in close cooperation with the National Center of Intellectual Property will enable employees of the Great Stone residents to get free access to patent and non-patent databases. This will ensure more effective protection and management of their rights to intellectual property.

The project aimed at the TISC network development has been implemented by the National Center of Intellectual Property and the State Committee on Science and Technology since 2016 under the auspices of the World Intellectual Property Organization. Currently, there are eight TISCs in Belarus, including those in the Republican Library for Science and Technology, in its five regional branches, as well as in the National Center of Intellectual Property and the Belarusian State University.
