On July 23, 2020, musicians and producers representing Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia will discuss pressing issues of the music industry in the post-coronavirus time within the framework of the Internet-discussion "Composers Online", the 2nd one in the Creative Global Talks series, organized by the Confederation of Right Holders’ Societies of Europe and Asia (CRSEA). This was reported by the press service of CRSEA.

“The 2nd online session of the Creative Global Talks series “Composers Online” will be held on July 23 at 12:00 a.m. on the Zoom online platform. IP experts and representatives of creative industries will discuss how to promote music in the digital environment nowadays and what opportunities emerge in a number of countries of the Eurasian region, enabling authors to interact with digital platforms,” the statement says.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask the speakers questions during the broadcast, which will also be available on YouTube.

One of the key discussion topics will be music promotion in the digital environment and interaction of authors with digital platforms in the CRSEA countries, including a number of CIS states, China and Turkey. Experts will discuss the possibilities of international cooperation of authors in the digital environment, legislation and law enforcement practice in the field of copyright in the digital environment in Russia, as well as the experience and initiatives of the EU and the United States in this area.

Another topic will cover contemporary models of music distribution. Experts will talk about the pros and cons of monopolizing this market.

The discussion will be moderated by Ms. Irina Yakovleva, Deputy Secretary General of CRSEA, member of the Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Intellectual Property and Creative Industries, and Mr. Evgeny Safronov, Editor-in-Chief of InterMedia Communication Holding.
