Mandatory provision of email addresses for the Madrid System users

Since February 1, 2021, due to the entry into force of amendments to the Regulations to the Protocol to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, it becomes mandatory to state the email address of the applicant, trademark owner or their representative in international applications and all requests addressed to the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The corresponding fields are contained in the updated forms posted on the website of the WIPO International Bureau.
