Candidate of Technical Sciences, professor, scientist in the field of instrumentation.

Vladimir Minchenya was born on February 28, 1950 in the Urechye village, Lyuban District, Minsk Region. He graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute (BPI) and qualified as a mechanical engineer with a degree in Precision Mechanics Devices.

He held the positions of Laboratory Assistant, Mechanic, Training Foreman, Graduate Student and Senior Teacher at BPI; Associate Professor of the Department of Instrument Design and Production of the Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy; Professor of the Department of Instrument Design and Production of BNTU. V. Minchenya is a Corresponding Member of the non-governmental organization “International Academy of Information Technologies”.

The scientific activity of Vladimir Minchenya is connected to the use of high-frequency oscillations in technology and medicine. He has published over 200 scientific and scientific-methodical works. More than 40 scientific papers have been published abroad. 19 teaching aids, 4 textbooks bearing the stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, monographs “Ultrasound in surface treatment of materials” and “Ultrasound in medicine” were published. V. Minchenya is one of the authors of over 40 patents and copyright certificates for inventions, 3 Eurasian patents, as well as patents of Germany and Lithuania.

Vladimir Minchenya is headed the execution of tasks within the framework of the State Scientific and Technical Programs, which resulted in introduction into the industry of two unique developments: “Technology and equipment for the production of sawing discs charged with grains of diamond micropowders with ultrasound”, “Ultrasonic thrombolysis”, as well as “Control and measuring complex for ultrasound thrombolysis”, and “Technology for the production of coronary stents”.

Vladimir Minchenya was awarded with Honorary Diplomas of BNTU, Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus. He was also awarded the Francysk Skaryna Medal for high professionalism and scientific and pedagogical activity in training of qualified engineering personnel.
