The Competition and Antitrust Regulation Section of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) made a review “Antitrust regulations concerning exclusive intellectual property rights”.

The decision on document preparation was made during the session of leaders of antitrust authorities of the EEC member states and Minister of Competition and Antitrust Regulation of the EEC last spring.

The purpose of the review is to assist the antitrust authorities of the EAEU and EEC member states in resolving issues concerning implementation of antitrust legislation provisions in the field of exclusive intellectual property rights.

While preparing the document, its authors used numerous analytical and scientific-practical materials of experts in the field of antimonopoly and civil legislation, information provided by international organizations and antimonopoly regulators. The review also covers certain aspects of the exclusive rights boundaries and restricted competition, provides specific antitrust cases and court practices.
