The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has launched two new publications on identifying and using inventions in the public domain. The digital versions of the publications in English are available for download free-of-charge via the links below (versions in additional WIPO official languages are expected to follow shortly):

The Guide on Identifying Inventions in the Public Domain;
The Guide on Using Inventions in the Public Domain.

These practical guides are designed to help researchers, inventors, and entrepreneurs effectively identify and use information in the public domain. They provide easy-to-use training modules, checklists, case studies, and other useful tools and resources.

In the near term, two webinars and “Ask the Expert” sessions will be organized, within the framework of which the guides for TISCs will be presented, and you will be able to ask questions to the experts who developed them. More information will be published shortly on the eTISC platform and on the WIPO website.

Based on the WIPO materials.
