EAPO extended its WIPO DAS membership in industrial designs

From December 1, 2021, the Eurasian Patent Office has been providing the possibility to use the World Intellectual Property Organization priority documents Digital Access Service (WIPO DAS) concerning the industrial designs applications.

From the mentioned date the applicants while their industrial design Eurasian application priority claiming in accordance with the rules of the Regulations under Eurasian Patent Cooperation on the basis of earlier applications previously placed to the WIPO DAS digital library, instead of a an earlier application notarized copy provision necessity, can now just provide the EAPO with its WIPO DAS access code.

Applicants can now deposit their earlier applications within the WIPO DAS digital library by means of the World Intellectual Property Organization Bureau or any other competent intellectual property office accepting the relevant industrial designs applications for their further depositing within the WIPO DAS digital library.

The EAPO also acts as a depositing authority within the WIPO DAS services as far as it deposits the industrial design Eurasian applications within the WIPO DAS digital library upon the applicants’ requests.
