On November 20, 2020, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) initiated a video conference on the country research under the topic “Innovative Environment for Autonomous Electric Tractors, Dump Trucks, Bus Vehicles Manufacturing”.
The National Center of Intellectual Property was represented by the Head of the International Cooperation Division Arthur Akhramenka, Head of the Industrial Property Examination Department Elena Usacheva, Leading Specialist of the Industrial Property Examination Department Alexander Mazanik. On behalf of WIPO the meeting was attended by Maryam Zehtabchi, Economic Officer, Economics and Statistics Division. The event was also attended by Dmitry Doroshevich, a representative of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
During the videoconference, the participants discussed step-by-step implementation of the country research project, the possibility of using various databases of patent and non-patent literature, and specifics of compiling a list of codes and keywords needed for research. This project is expected to be completed at the end of 2021 and presented with a comprehensive report on further prospects for the development of electric transport industry in the Republic of Belarus.
