15 years ago, on February 6, 2008, the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of January 28, 2008, No.118 came into force, amending the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of May 8, 1997, No.452.

Since that date the National Centre of Intellectual Property (NCIP) was designated as the authorized organization for collective management of property rights of authors and other right holders in the Republic of Belarus.

Today the NCIP manages the rights of more than 5,800 national authors on a collective basis and the repertoire amounts to more than 131,000 works.
