Registration for the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference of the National Centre of Intellectual Property is now open

Registration for the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference «Intellectual Property in the Modern World: Challenges and Prospects for Development», to be held on 9 October 2026 in Minsk, is now open.

The conference is organised by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the National Centre of Intellectual Property.

The conference programme includes:

• patenting of intellectual property created within the creative industries;
• modern mechanisms for combating infringements of industrial property rights within the creative industries;
• counterfeiting in the digital age: new challenges and effective protection tools;
• successful commercialisation of industrial property rights;
• copyright and digital technologies: the use of artificial intelligence technologies, the rights of authors and other rights holders;
• the creation, allocation of rights and commercialisation of works made for hire in the IT sector;
• intellectual property as the foundation of intangible assets and a driver of digital technology development;
• financial instruments to support the creation, protection and commercialisation of copyrighted works in the creative economy sector;
• legal regulation of the use of works of science, literature and art as a factor in cultural development;
• striking a balance between the interests of authors, rights holders and users: prospects for the development of a collective management system for economic rights;
• new mechanisms for the use of works without the consent of rights holders, etc.

We invite representatives of government authorities, various enterprises and organisations, Belarusian and foreign educational institutions; practitioners in the field of intellectual property, academics, undergraduates, master’s students, PhD students, patent attorneys, intellectual property valuers and others with an interest in the conference’s subject matter to participate.

Following the conference, the publication of a proceedings volume is planned, which will be included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
