Belarus confirms its devotion to the principle of significance of scientific dialogue and diplomacy. The Head of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Shlychkov stressed it in frames of the extraordinary session of the Committee of plenipotentiary representatives of governments of the states – members of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.
“The Republic of Belarus, despite the current international situation, will completely fulfill all its obligations towards the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research”, - said the Belarusian Government representative, - “In the spirit of the principle “Science unites the nations” we appeal to all the states to continue the existing trustworthy productive scientific cooperation in the name of our common future”.
In frames of the section the participants accepted the official statement of plenipotentiary representatives of governments of the states – members of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research concerning the preservation of the Institute’s unity, its scientific mission and international partnership for peaceful purposes.
The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is an international intergovernmental scientific-research institution established on March 26, 1956, by 19 constituent states.
The institute has close cooperation ties with over 1000 scientific centers and universities of 74 countries of the world. The Institute’s scientific program involves over 280 scientific centers, universities and enterprises from the CIS member-states.
