The Agreement on cooperation of the CIS Member-States in protection and enforcement of copyright and related rights in information and telecommunication networks signed on November 12, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement) was approved by the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 300 of May 14, 2022.
The Agreement is focused on deepening cooperation within the CIS and improving the system of protection of copyright and related rights in the development of information and telecommunication technologies, including the Internet.
The State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus are designated as competent authorities of the Republic of Belarus responsible for realization of the Agreement.
The Agreement will enter into force 30 days after the date of receipt by the depositary of the third written notification of the completion by the signatories of the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force (article 14 of the Agreement).
