International Scientific and Practical Conference “Intellectual Property in the Contemporary World: New Challenges and Development Prospects”

Marking the 20th anniversary of the National Center of Intellectual Property acting as a single body ensuring intellectual property protection in the Republic of Belarus October 1, 2021

Dear colleagues!

On October 1, 2021, the State Institution “National Center of Intellectual Property”, in cooperation with the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, will hold the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Intellectual Property in the Contemporary World: New Challenges and Development Prospects”.

Scientists, representatives of Belarusian and foreign universities, employees of scientific organizations and state bodies, intellectual property practitioners, undergraduates, graduate and postgraduate students, patent attorneys, intellectual property valuation experts, and other people interested in the topics in focus, including enforcement and protection of intellectual property rights, creating and using the results of intellectual activity, are invited to participate in the event.

The purpose of the conference is to analyse the state, problems, and current trends of intellectual property development in law, economy, public administration, scientific and technical information system, social and other spheres in the Republic of Belarus and abroad, as well as the prospects for the intellectual property development in the contemporary world.

Conference topics: challenges in the legal regulation of intellectual property; legal protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including those on the Internet; economic and other aspects of intellectual property.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. The event will be held in a hybrid format (online and offline participation, participation in absentia).

Each participant will receive an electronic certificate confirming their participation. It is planned to publish a handbook of conference materials both in hard and electronic form. The latter will be available on the official web-site. Conference working languages are Russian, Belarusian, and English.

Forms of participation: presenting a report (up to 10 minutes), participation in absentia (publication of the report).

Procedure for submitting materials

To take part in the conference, please send the application for participation, the text of the article in DOC format, and the review (prepared by the supervisor for students, graduates, and postgraduate students) in PDF format no later than August 1, 2021. 

The materials will be neither accepted, nor sent back, in case their content does not fall under the scope of the conference scientific agenda or any other formal presentation requirements, the deadline for sending the documents is not met, or the application is incomplete.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select and edit the submitted materials to include them a conference program.
